The nickname of volunteers for the 18th ISF Gymnasiade (School Summer Games) - Jinjiang 2020 --“Tong Tong”, and their slogan "Fighting to Win with Volunteers" were released on May 4.

It's learned that the nickname of the volunteers is originated from Citong, the honorific name of ancient Jinjiang, which refers to a kind of tree symbolizing the city. The red color of Citong tree represents the image of the volunteers while the name Tong Tong means all volunteers, under the same sky, will move forward with one mind to realize the dream of ISF Jinjiang 2020 Gymnasiade together. The slogan "Fighting to Win" indicates the spirit and strength of Jinjiang. It means Jinjiang will provide voluntary service with its strength, creating passionate and energetic atmosphere, and demonstrating the sports culture of the Gymnasiade.

On May 4 last year, a campaign launched by the Executive Committee Office of the Gymnasiade to collect slogans and nicknames for volunteers of the games attracted a large number of candidates across the country to submit their works. The organizer received more than 400 works in total. It was after three rounds of evaluation and the approval of the Executive Committee Office that the slogan and nickname of volunteers were finalized.
